Engine looks like it’s getting the shakes. How do I go about replacing the engine mounts? I’ve seen some videos where they replace a part under the car. Is there anything diesel specific? Would like to buy the part and do it myself.
Thanks in advance.

Super easy job. I just did the drivers side top mount last weekend, and will do passenger side top mount next weekend.
You'll need a jack, block of wood and 15 and 18mm sockets, long shaft if possible, plus some extensions. More than likely it is the driver's side? The difference is immediate once you change it over! You forget how bad it got..... I cant even feel the engine idling now and need to check if it's on when the radio is pumping LOL. You'll be tempted to clean the bay, as it's all open once you remove the driver's side, but maybe get a non permanent marker to mark out where the original mount was, as there's a heap of tollerance in the holes on the mounts, and probably best to put it back where it was from the factory. Passenger side is a bit different, and you'll need to remove air box and battery box. Make sure the air box rubber is perfectly replaced as you'll have issues otherwise. Plenty of YT vids about.

Is this video what I should be looking at? https://youtu.be/Vt7TNNnXoSU
Assuming the motor mounts are in the same place no matter what engine you have?

The one on the driver's side is right at the top right? Might do that first.

Quick video. I’m thinking it may be the mount under the engine? https://youtu.be/gjuy7D7Ls2I Thoughts?

I reckon start with the one on the driver's side. It takes the brunt of it all, and is oil filled.
The radiator overflow tank is a bit fiddly releasing the clips that hold it onto the upright bits of metal that hold it in place. A small flat blade screw driver helps. Once off just push it to one side without putting too much stress on the hoses. The rest is really straight forward. ** Make sure you have the engine slightly jacked up only a little. Just enough to take the load of the engine when the engine mount is released.

so I'm looking for part 8M51-6F012-SB everyone sells the other part that starts with an A which is presumably for the petrol versions of this engine.
Where can I buy this apart from going to the dealership/Fordparts?

I threw it into Ebay and it comes up as a Volvo engine mount.

Yeah, Volvo S40 and Mazda 3 use the same mount.
Ford will sell it to me for $110 special order. If it’s not less than that then might as well buy it from Ford.

Changed it over today. Didn’t really notice any difference. Lower/bottom mount next?

Went for a drive and the difference is noticeable. Maybe I’ll leave it at that.
