Default noisy heater fan au falcon

My au falcon has a series 3 ghia dash with all the electricals etc fitted and working correctly but after a number of years all running perfectly the fan has become noisy i cant remember when i installed the dash board but do i have to remove the dash again to change the fan motor ,,, hope not lol thanks cheers steve

Are they similar to a BA , just drops out the bottom behind glove box ?

No. We've been talking about this with bondy in the AU/BF forum. Dash has to come out and remove the recirc duct and door to get access to the fan.

Might pay remove the glovebox and set the system to recirc so you can see the fan and make sure there are no twigs or leaves rubbing on the fan. Maybe even pull the fan resistor to look into the heater box and make sure there is nothing rubbing on it from that side..

Beware when pulling the fan resistors. Make sure they are fully cool. They get very very hot very quickly and are a danger to fingers if not careful.

you might have leaves/etc stuck in the fan as the AU doesn't have a 'filter' as fitted to the later models. may pay to have a look at it.
