What field of work are you in Envious?

The only reason i enrolled to vote was because that's how they choose a jury. From those enrolled to vote.

What's so bad about jury duty? Don't you just sit on your ar$e all day?

I got called up for jury duty as soon as I turned 18. That sucked. Luckily I got out of it...

I did jury duty about 14 years ago and actually met the future Mrs. Barry when we were empanelled together.

Ironically, she was exempt from serving as she is a school teacher but decided to attend anyway to gain an insight to her then husband's work, he was a barrister. Anyway, one thing lead to another and we became "quite close" over the 15 days we were together and 14 years later here we are!

Quite an interesting case too, 3 "horticulturists" (dope growers),from Mildura were running a protection racket to suppliment their incomes during the off season. They were hitting on local shop owners and threatening to burn down their businesses etc. Little did they know the police had bugged their houses and got all their plans on tape. One of them was a very nasty piece of work and had gotten away with murdering his own father a few years earlier - a dispute over what type of crops to grow on the family farm.

We found them guilty by the way and they all got 7 years.

I'd love a stint of jury duty. Doing nothing like I do now but with air con and a seat.
