Hi
I want to buy one of these locally: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=33-2819 I checked Supa Cheap - they didn't even have Focus on their system. I know I can get one from EBay, but would prefer a local place (Brisbane, or at worst somewhere else in Aus). Any tips and how much should I spend? Also - how much should I budget for a cat back exhaust? Thanks, MK |

I got mine for $70 (or $80, cant remember) from a K&N Dealer here. Only took about 3 days for them to get it. If you like, I can get one for you and post it onto you.
Ive been quoted $400 for a mild steel catback exhaust.

I think you can get them through any Autobarn store.

Try $300 for a cat-back, $400 is pushing it unless you're getting 2 mufflers and some custom work. That might be a Rural price though, metro prices may be lower with increased competition.

I tried ricerbarn for a panel filter, they said K&N never made one, until i corrected the guy telling him many people have them
Ask for it by the specific part number and you will have more luck. I was quoted $95 for it the other w/e Chris

Matt $400 is what I was quoted from Canberra through a guy FPV/XR Club members use. His work is apparently excellent so even if that is a slightly higher price than usual, i dont mind paying for a spot on job.
I checked - my filter cost me $80 so if people would like me to organise a couple I'll certainly be able to. Only other costs would be postage.

I paid around $75 for my K&N. This came from a race prepping shop, Go Gear Racing, where they must sell filters by the bucket load. This is in WA though, but i think youz have Revolution Racegear in the East which might be worth a go. $80-$90 is still reasonable, when i was seraching, some places wanted up to $149..... :
