Ok, so the time has come and i need a new client for my Uni assignment for this semester
i need a company/business or something similar, that is a non-Profit organisation (ie: they dont sell a product or a service) that needs a pretty basic website made for them oh, and id prefer if it wasnt a Car club as ive already done that for an assignment ;) so, does anyone need one? or know of any sites that need an upgrade from a business like this? ANY ideas would be great thanks

if your serious about it, the best way to get into it is to buy some Web design magazines with tutorials and things like that in them, they usually cover a good basis of what things you need to learn

My web site needs a redesign, but you already knew that
Actually, unless I hear back soon from the person in charge of the hosting, I'll also need a new host for it...

Off topic if i wanted to build a website for myself would frontpage be suitable for a beginer ? I need to upload data from excel and add pics ? and add a credit card / payment system. In this case i wanted to have a bash myself after 2 sites being built in the last 2 years with the first costing some 40 - 50K and the second still in production and taking ages ( and working with both of these guys ) i see it as a huge waste of good money and ( not personal ) but these guys seem so intent on doing it thier way no matter how many times you ask for things to be done a certain way ( it seems like thier just of in space and they know best without listening to the customer and have found both not to be logical in thier thinking, as they tend not to complete sections before moving on ) , talkin gook and tying to baffle you with so much crap its not funny. Cheers Pete |

Mate if you have a contract drawn up then they are breaching by doin work you havent asked for and not what you want. While it might be true they know best its still not what they are gettin paid for. It should also specify a time period for the work to be completed by and if its taking longer then i wouldnt pay them anymore.
