Got into work today and theres a booking for like 40 people for a Bithday. GREAT! I thought, I'll be here for ages! anyways, the party begins to arrive and I'm working on the bar serving drinks and such.
Annyways, I go to my next customer and realise that his face is very familiar...... In fact, I remember doing an assignment on this famous australian for year 7 history being an avid holden fan back then.... The king of the mountain himself! He was here for his PA's Birthday party, and I found all of them pleasant and friendly people to work with. I chatted to Peter for about 10 mins or so (we were very busy) and their party stayed until late, Peter was chatting and drinking and having a great time, he got along well with everyone at his table, and everyone was at ease. Seemed like a great bloke. Great driver! Great to meet the man. -Danny |

I see him on a regular basis.
He goes to the same gym as me, although I haven't been there for a couple of weeks now. He is a good bloke and very approachable, not like some other stuck up celebs.

Can people please just get the hell over the polariser thing? Seriously, you don't need to make some stupid bloody joke about it every time Brock's name comes up.

I met him once ages ago 1976 or so in Frankston in Victoria and he certainly impressed me as a decent bloke back then. He had this 2 door V8 monaro probably a factory car to drive. He was easy to talk to and had time for fans. Pretty normal really. I guess if you are succesful it will always pay someone to write bad things about you. I must admit I cringed at the polariser and felt he had been overly influenced by some hangers on who were just trying to make a buck off him but even to this day he still backs it??
Anyway a charming man with no chips on his shoulder who really could DRIVE and in a nice super smooth controlled way you just had to watch and admire. |

Hey Danny, that is awesome All through the Dick Johnson/Peter Brock years I always went for Brockie... and yes, I still think Dick lives up to his name (whenever he crashed, it was always someone else's fault lol).
Brockie is a freaking legend, and that whole Polariser episode - well, I didn't laugh. For example, whenever I drive our Ford, something happens more often than not. But when hubby drives her, she's fine. I swear she hates me and could really do with one of those Polarisers (it's the hippie in me). There you go Mike, that's all I am saying about them (I'd bloody well try one out if they had made them - I think the EA is possessed by the Devil himself).
