Are there any shocks or strut mounts or something that allow camber adjustment on AUs?
Or better yet some coilovers that offer height, damping AND camber adjustment? I can find a product that offers the first two but not the last which is equally important to me. By teh way this is for the front suspension. As far as I know the Watts link has no way to adjust camber is that correct? I cant use those camber kits or whatever as im going to be runnining some big negative camber and will need to be able to dial it back in for street use. |

Front suspension on AU is by double A arm. The only way to adjust the camber is by moving one of the arms in or out. What about some eccentric bolts for the lower arms?

Yeah i just found that out after some research.
I was thinking something along teh lines of Jap style suspension most of which is designed for machperson strut type suspension. What are eccentric bolts? Also, would i be right in saying that its impossible ot have adjustable camber on a solid axle rear end as in most AUs? |

I should have also said eccentric bushes, the bolt hole in the centre of the bush is offset so by turning the bush it moves the control arm, they can be fitted to IRS Commodores. X series falcons have eccentric bolts on the front inner lower control arm bush for adjusting camber, turn the bolt & it moves the arm in & out.

unless a car has IRS.. you cant adjust the camber on a solid axle as far as i know
(the wheel practically bolts to the end of a straight rod..) |

Can't change camber on live axle rear - you'd have to have CVs or uni's etc. on the axles in order to pivot them - unless someone makes a setup like that but I don't see why they would - you could make an elaborate custom axle setup probably but no way in hell it'd be worth the trouble that I can see.
Usual way for front camber would be shims or K-mac ratchet adjuster kit for quicker adjustment but maybe you can't get enough negative adjustment for what you want. If you're serious I'd suggest get someone to make up a new set of upper control arms for you out of tubular chromoly and have threaded adjuter rods built in to change the length (eg. like how tie rod ends adjust or maybe those tensioners you use on fence wire or to hook up sails, shade tarps etc. is better example). |
