For all those who arent musically minded this post will be wasted on you :.
My second toy arrived yesterday, the one on the left. Had the Blue Beast for a while now and I loved it so much I decided to buy another one! Specs for those who care: Ibanez BTB300BKF (the Black one) Mahogany Body 5 Piece Maple/Rosewood Neck 2 band Variable Equalizer Mono-rail Bridge (1 for each string) Ibanez Custom Humbucking Pickups (LOUD) Neutrik Locking Jack (also acts as EQ on/off) Ibanez BTB405QMBBL (the Blue One) Mahogany Body with Bookmatched Quilted Maple Top 5 piece Maple/Rosewood Neck 3 Band Variable Equalizer Mono-rail Bridges (x5) Ibanez Active Pickups Neutrik Locking Jack (EQ On/Off) They are both BTB models hence the similarity. And they sound fantastic! Beautiful to play and look at, sound great, not cheap : but worth every cent.

Cool Bass' I like the 5 string.
Just last week I got my first guitar, an Ibanez RG370DX. I like it alot, it's good enough for a beginner like myself. I also got a 40W Randall amp What sort of music do you play B2TF?

great, another thread with a stack of pointless, useless posts in it out:
Sweet bass's there mate, the blue one looks brilliant. 5 strings sh!t me though as I am a drummer (no need for drummer jokes now) and know some basic guitar, and because of that the top string on a 5 string bass just gets in the way coz I wouldn't know how to use it :hihi: I really want a bass for mucking around on though, they are a heap of fun!

Haha John yes my amp puts out more power than my car. :
Kenaz, the RG's are a fantastic guitar and will most likely be my next purchase. As for what music I play, i do pretty much anything from Metallica to RHCP to Easy Listening stuff. I also do a bit of Stu Hamm solo stuff and Santana etc. When you need new strings for it, try a brand called "Elixir". They sound great and have a special coating on them to stop junk making your strings sound dull. Pilch, the 5th string is a low B. Sounds great, it does take some getting used to (Im actually getting used to the 4 string again now!) but once youre used to it, its really good to have. As for 6 string bass, I can play it, and there is one I'm eyeing off but I might go for a guitar first.... If you want a bass for mucking round on, go one of the cheaper Ibanez ones, for what you pay they're a bargain! Here's a better pic of the 5 string's finish. I love the look of this one.
