I have a big mofo wall unit that I will probably end up having to ship from NSW to Vic. Its like 2 metres 40 cms long and about I don't know how high or heavy.
Can anyone recommend any decent places that can do this for a reasonable cost ?

reasonable cost, not likely.
i had a radiator support panel, and a few other things sent from QLD and that cost $190. your best bit is to dismantle it and try and package it so it is as small as possible. getting the unit sent like that could cost you up to $500. |

try find a backloader, they will do it cheap, you just may have to wait a little bit for pick up, and a few a days on delivery.

Sourbastard : If I can get the trajectory right I might be onto something.
My current pricing for the transport of the abomination as my g/f calls it is so far in the $300+ range....I'll keep looking.

if you tie it to a pallet you might have a better chance at getting it moved cheaper.

Backloading removalists are usualy cheapest for these things.Look in Melbourne yellow pages ring places with 1800 numbers if any. You may be able to email measurements to them, not sure they worry too much about the weight.
