I think all the phone calls to Vicroads about custom plates finally got to them. Also... there's rumours that 7 & 8 letter plates will be available soon.

You've been able to do this in NZ for a while at www.plates.co.nz . Pretty cool, I have spent alot of time there finding cool plates for my cars, but probably won't buy one until the project is finished. I'm looking at "V FN 8" which is still available.

If only you could get them without that stupid seperator/spacer (diamond shape) between the numbers and letters, you could get a bit more creative. For example, you could have [ TRMIN8 ] instead of [ TRMIN-8 ].

yeah, there are some plates that are already restricted, but most would be screen after the person goes to purchase em.
