i think he means an extra $12.55 on top of what he usually gets per hour.
Its crap, im on about $14 and thats only because of the hours i work (late at night). EDIT: Ok, he doesnt mean that lol. We still get penalty rates @ Coles?

Depends if you're under an award or AWA/individual/collective agreement.... award you can almost guarantee penalty rates.. AWA/other - depends on the agreement.

12.55 is better then going to uni. I get no pay then get charged hecs. You start to wonder if its worth it hopefully it will all pay of in the future *hopefully*.
Most people who are 18-20 who work full time at woolies get around $9 an hour or $380 a week after tax. |

i worked at lenards just recently before moving and i was working full-time and only got $278 (after tax) and im older then you. i wouldnt complain mate, you work in full air-conditioning and you said it yourself you bludge half the time, i know people who work their butts off out in the sun all day and get paid less, your only 18 and for casual/part-time thats alright for working at a servo. i know it might all seem like a rip-off cause trust me i got ripped off heaps but if you want the money i wouldnt complain
