I would be very surprised if it did. Ford have stocks of version 10 and that is what they will supply.

The dealer will give you a story like "you have to ring whereis"
Whereis (a division of telstra) will tell you to see the dealer.

If you win this you will be the first ever.....

Remember the telstra motto.... "If you don't like the service feel free to get your own bloody dial tone"

P.S. I have already ordered and paid for my upgrade.

Hmmm if I ever order an FPV or a car with sat nav, i'd be stipulating the 'latest' maps as part of the sale

I tried to get Sat Nav put in my BF Super Pursuit but they said it couldn't be done...

John - Is your Sat Nav on the LCD screen in the premium sound unit?

Sorry to be picky but Whereis is a division of Sensis which is owned by Telstra but does not follow their morals or ideals.

No, they are worse, they have the contract for ALL satnav data so they really don't care.........

You cant have the factory satnav in a ute because the DVD unit lives in the boot and utes don't have one.

You can, however, get several aftermarket units that interface with the colour ICC and seem to work as well.

Well things must of gone done hill since I left because I tell you what I cared... in fact I cared far too much hence the reason I thought it time to leave.

Are you sure there isn't a way I can get factory Sat Nav in a ute? How big is this DVD Player? Couldn't it slide under the chair? I am scared of after market... I want Sat Nav desperately (trust me I can get lost leaving my own street _) but want it done factory - Is that asking too much? There must be a way I can get what I want…

Just received and installed version 12 ,and guess what it still has the same error on Huntingdale rd and the exit from Monash Fwy,when you want to make a right hand turn into Huntingdale rd,it says to turn left and then make a U-Turn.Looks like they just can't get it right. lol i'm sure there are plenty of other examples with the wrong data on it.
Cheers John

Love sat nav, but the price of the upgrade is heaps. Buys lots of Melways.

I see the WhereIs site is still out of date (the Hallam bypass in SE Melbourne is my usual test - still not there!), hopefully the disc has this at least.

It would be nice if there was some competition in this area. You can now get MSN directions, which DO have the Hallam bypass. Melways are also promising directions on their site.

Perhaps Micro$oft or Melways could launch their own sat nav discs in competition to Whereis?

I think it is a lot harder to get this right, rather than just drawing the map, every detail of every intersection had to be spot on.

I remember an early version missed the left turn at the end of the Hume Freeway before you go north across the Murray - it assumed that this was straight ahead.

Default version 12??

My BA ghia has factory sat nav, but the disc is version 2. It's hard to believe that where-is has made 10 more versions in 3 years? Does anyone else have version 2?

The versions for BA went, 2->10->12, so yours is only 2 old (and only just as 12 is about a week old).

Now if you are on a budget I know where you can get a genuine version 10 for a case of corona, never ever been used outside QLD although it has been 250km/h.

is this an upgrade for all sat nav things or just certain brands..

I was told recently that the tomtom (well something like that anyway) was the best unit to get, but if it has to be upgraded straight away then thats a pain !
