Does anyone know if the cebter of the dash on a AU2 or 3 will slot staight in to a AU1 or is ther problems with the wiring for the aircon and such....thinking on changing mine...the aircon button is different as is the demister one as well...hope someone can help : : :

The heater box and etc are different (I think).
I'd suggest, that you take it off, and paint it. Or get a carbon fibre looking one.

Falkeen looked at doing this on his Futura and decided it was a bit too much (incompatible, I think). And this is the man who has a forward hinging bonnet on his AU2 Pursuit Ute!

1. Remove the radio and undo the wiring and aerial connections to the radio.
2. Undo the 2 screws hidden behind where the radio was (about 45 degree angle) 3. Pull out the ashtray. 4. Undo the 1, 2 or 3 screws hidden by the ashtray (sorry, can't remember exactly how many) 5. Pull out the console bit (it will need some force, but not too much) 6. Disconnect clock, cig lighter and heater controls 7. Voila!

going to do this now! i cant findany suitable interiors in black, so ... out comes the spray can! LOL just need black dials and i am set!!! |
