Welp iv finaly finished doing what should have been some simple light mods on my au falcon.
Firstly the parkers... were so bloody difficult to get out. The plastic holder for the bulbs appeared to be worn out and hardened. Broke bits of it getting it out. Skinny nose pliers in the end got them out with force. Put some nice blue ones in place. The main headlamps drown out the blue light tho so its not really noticable unless you drive around with only parkers on. The dashboard LED mod (from the workshop tutorial) was just as much a problem :( Even the car manual made it sound so easy but the stupid bloody plastic clips WOULD NOT BUDGE and i ended up snapping 6 of the 8... screws hold it in for now :P. I must admit i enjoyed taking the dashboard apart... got to see alot of the behind that i never knew about. Testing the LEDs was strangly fun for me too. The result im very happy with just gotta do something bout the needles as they are difficult to see All in all im pretty happy, dunno what to take apart next and change ;) |

hate to tell you but if a cop see's those blue parkers you're going to have to take them right out again. Blue is a "forbidden" colour.. emergency services.

My HID low beams are brighter than my 100w halogen highbeams ... but my low are low down ... the high beam only glows just above my low beam ... useless really.
My 100w Artic Blue insert globes look yellow/brown comapred to my HIDs. Will finally get them driving lights on the ute this week to fix that problem.

i also had blue led's in the top holes of my rear number plate which had to be disconnected on the spot, again,"apparently" not legal to have any more than 3 rear facing colours,( orange indicators, red tail lamps, white reverse lights) hope it helps, i was respectful to him regardless of the 13 hr drive i had just endured and managed to get off the $200 odd fine : |

I had arctic blues in for about 4 months... before both of them died in the space of 2 weeks. Never had a headlight issue before. put some odd brand that were lying around *********'s trucking yard. A lot bluer and higher wattage. Were only a quick replacement but seem to be doing the job well. The phillips will be in if there's any left from the tax. (don't think I'll have enough)

In the ACT they are illegal. Must be standard bulbs. No other lights allowed. Exeption of course for driving lights and fog lamps. But if you change the globe to anything other than whats suppossed to be there, the police will pull you over.

I bought the arctic blue for my au, happy enough, but the parker lights in the pack are different. I have the bayonet bulbs as parkers. Is there some way of making the new bulbs fit?

You guys do realise that "white" light makes it obscenely difficult to navigate through fog, right?
If you're gonna put white lights on, make sure you get a set of yellow fog lights... |
