Default Intermittent loss of head lights????

Has anyone had a problem with the head lights on their e-series where the high and low beam just turn off for no reason then come back on after about 10 seconds (parkers stayed on).
Happened to me 3 times in first 5 minutes on the way back from heathcote tonight, bloody scary both headlights just cutting out. Then never played up again.
I'm thinking either the relay overheating, or a bad connection with the switch on the dash.
Any ideas???

Is the circuit breaker, which should be along the driver front guard near the radiator bottle. Its metal and rectangle shaped with two individual wires coming from it. Fairly cheap to replace.

I had that once, ended up being a faulty relay. Had to solder it together as it fell a bit loose, Id say check that first.

Its most probably you headlight relays. In your car I think they sit next to your battery but water gets in over time and wrecks them. Also corrosion stuffs the contacts up.Either way try another relay and clean the contacts on both sides. Also make sure your battery is bolted on tight.

I also have a similar problem only my headlights cut out when i put the high beams on... the high beams will work for about 5 minutes then it will cut all the lights out in the whole car and they dont come on for a minute or so... would it be the same thing?
