You can get nearly any gear ratio you want in LSD, up to the 3.45 there are off the shelf speedo gears avaliable to correct the speedo, anything else will need an electronic speedo corrector installed.

ive got a 3.23 and it pulls like a train.ive also got a EA box in mine, first gear is useless if you plant it(just spins both wheels).

matey, EA's are notorious for their extremely short 1st gears...

im personally running 3.73s at the moment which is nice and high...

depends what you want to get out of it?

off memory the brocks ran standard diff ratios of the model purchased before the conversion...

What do you get out of first gear, out of curiosity?

292 is a pretty low ratio diff! hence why your getting such speeds out of 1st! EA 5spd with a 3.23 diff in it will be doing exactly 52km/h at 5000rpm

Hey brocky, the ea's had a 3.5/1 ratio first gear from the factory as opposed to a 3.25/1 first gear in the ebII and ed. As for your diff it will have 2.92 gears in it and it will be a two pinion, 25 spline diff. what you want is a 4pinion, 28 spline diff out of an EBII or ED they are much stronger. Also i would suggest going for the 3.45 diff gears as they are a nice compromise between acceleration and highway cruising capibilities, I have just put 3.45 diff gears in my ED 5M and am pretty happy with it! As for diff shops, where exactly is Patterson Lakes?
