Default Red Necks

Is our society as overrun by uneducated, ill informed, rednecks as it seems?
Or are their voices so annoyingly loud and obnoxious that they are heard far more than their numbers should allow?

I think closer to the point is that every person that uses the internet has the potential for a public voice. In an forum such as this, your message can reach 1000 different people in different places all over the country.

...and so, we find that other peoples opinions on matters are not always the same as our own. We may see them an uninformed or dimwitted, but everyone has an opinion.

On a side note, the gay thread and the drug thread are alike in some ways. I don't think you will find anyone admitting to being a frequent drug user, just the same as you won't find someone admitting that they are only attracted to people of the same sex. Outside of the forums is a different story though...

You asked for me? :Reverend:

Seriously though, it can be somewhat disheartening that there are so many highly opinionated yet not particularly informed people in this world. Just remember, we don't only come in redneck form, idiots with an axe to grind come in all different shapes sizes and colours.

It is quite common to find five or six offspring in each family group, often with a different father for each new baby.
Their habitat consists of a weatherboard or brick-veneer dwelling and is characterised by an early-model Holden or Ford in the driveway surrounded by a group of males discussing why the carby is stuffed and the results of last night's footy (a primitive gladiator-like spectator sport enjoyed by most bogans).
The female of the species, while smaller in stature, is far more loud and aggressive than the male. While the males tend to be very friendly and congregate with other males, the females spend most of their time in supermarkets and shopping malls, using a shrill high-pitched call to discipline their children and contact other females.
Males and females rarely interact socially except during breeding season, which is otherwise known as Friday night. During this time, females are allowed to enter the male-dominated area known as "the pub" and display their impressive coloured plumage to a prospective mate.
Herein lies an intersting phenomenon. Males will often fight over a particularly attractive female and she will mate with only one male, while some less attractive females have been known to have several partners simultaneously.

Ahhhh. The wonders of nature.
Chris Franklin, Eric Bana as "Poita" on Fast Forward, most of Campbelltown.
Yeah, I'd say Bogan/Beavan is pretty close.

I actually agree with you, and perhaps I should have been a little more direct and used words that are generic to all dialects of the English language. So I'll try again.

To describe the people I was talking about more accurately I could have used, homophobic, racist, biggotted, there are others but I'm sure you understand.
