Question compulsory third party????

G'day all, sure this would of been kicked around before now but can someone explain to why the sates make you pay CTP when you register your car even if you already have insurance?

The CTP insurance with your rego covers third party BODILY damage (to persons).

Standard third party only covers property damage.

ACT - NRMA have the deal woth Urban Services so you get NRMA CTP regardless of whether you want it or not. One less problem for me to worry about!
