Hi Guys
I was reading a thread about people lowering their cars and thought well i might have a crack at it my self. I guess what i want to know is i will be putting a full ts50 kit on my car in the near future. So for general driving around would Super Lows be ok or would i be better going for Lows. The Car has 18"s on it and i would like to keep these when i put the kit on. My biggest fear is making the car to low for when i put the kit on it Any advice would be greatly appricated Pics of the car ATM Cheers Alpineau |

Looks alright, people seem to get away with SL's, youd have to ditch the wheel spats and all that. Unless you do loads of rural driving or have a hilly driveaway, SL's should be fine even with the kit, remember lows are the roughly the same as the stock Tickford setup.
*Great to see another Organza AU being modded as well

I'm switching to the NRMA. They are more expensive than my current insurer, but with NRMA i can have as many mods as I want, whereas now, 2 mods only

GIO - is similar as well but for each mod your excess is increased by $100. *But best always to check first just incase.

NRMA - stock standard - perfect driving history, car = $15,200, 20 years old - $1200 per year
Just cars - moded - perfect driving history, car = $15,200, 20 years old - LSD, tints, towbar, massive suspension work, floor mats, wood grain, baby seat, and gas if and when I fit it - $1300 May as well be honest and go with just cars, plus I THINK you get the free driver training course....

saw i had 10's and the ute was lowered 2" fr, 2.5" r. They also wouldn't insure a bloke at work because the BF Goodrich all terrains he had on his hilux, bought over the net from U.S, had their size written on the side walls in inches. Better to find out before they don't pay up! |

Hi All
Thanks for the replys, I did a bit me reading and i think i will go with SL all round. Will my car have enough clearance for general driving around town with out hitting everthing. The car is sitting on 18" rims. As for insurance i will make a few calls now and see what i come up with Cheers Alpineau |

Just be aware that with SSL on my rears the shocks became Completely useless after about 7,000 km, i should have done shocks and springs as opposed to just springs in the first place. You may need short throw shocks if your factory ones begin playing up. However with SL, you might be OK. I now have Koni Yellow fully adjustable and King SL and SSL (rear) and its awesome... sensational...
Either way, your car will look great a bit lower... it does need it. Good luck!

I'm obviously going to be the odd man out here but here I go anyway!
I really like the look of your car right now, but if lowering, I would go Lows. If and when I do my SR, I'll be going with Lows. All the best with it. GK
