Has anyone got a vibration in there sterring from 110km/h as UKFN has shown it is a real problem . Ford need to deal with !! for once. I had a 04 fez witha very bad vibration now ford has replaced it with a WQ fez and its a lot better but not what I would say A1. With the tyres pumped up to 40psi it seems to make the car better. But still not as smooth as my AU 2 SR

Mine had this as well. I just lived with it.... and took the road with corners! Was much better with the 205/45R16s though

Subject/Concern: Steering wheel vibrations at 120 km/h (70 mph); wheel balancing and adjustment of the wheel position on the wheel hub
Model: Fiesta 2002.25 (11/2001–) Build Date: 11/2001-10/2004 Build Date: 1D-4Y Fusion 2002.75 (06/2002–) Build Date: 06/2002-10/2004 Build Code: 2U-4Y Markets: All Section: 204-00 Summary Should a customer express concern about steering wheel vibrations at 120 km/h (70 mph), the probable cause is the unfavorable effect of the combined production tolerances of the wheel and wheel hub (particularly with 14" steel rims). The production tolerances cause difficulties when balancing the wheels. • NOTE: Installing new halfshafts to rectify the concern is NOT required. If a customer should express concern, the front wheels must be re-balanced in accordance with the instructions in this TSB and the position of the wheel on the wheel hub must be checked and if necessary adjusted. This TSB also contains general instructions for the balancing machine and the appropriate approved balance weights. The new Labor Time of 0.1 hours for Operation 11 150 4 is available in the dealer system from 05.01.05. Funny my car is a 06 WQ and it does it I think a German engineer needs to do some overtime to get this sorted out before they export us there problems |

I've never experienced this on my WP '05 Fez. I have the 205/45R16s fitted with the front tyres pumped up to 33psi and the rear ones at 32psi. I mostly drive around town within the speed limit (boring, law-abiding geek that I am), but I've had her up to 120k's on the highway with no ill effects. In fact she seems to handle better at that speed (though that's probably just my imagination).
