The springs I got part of the UKFiestanetwork group buy. cost was £100 which worked out to be about 250$ aus. I measured from where the jack mounts just behind the front wheel arch and it was about 15cm.
also if anyone is in sydney I contacted whiteline couple of days ago to see if they had any parts sway bars etc. They currently dont have anything but are willing to look at a car to make parts. |

The lowest part is the front teflon strip. And stock it is 150mm off the ground meaning that without a body kit you can do to a 50mm drop.
I would be very interested in a Whiteline setup and wouldn't mind been a trial vehicle Tell me who to contact I have issure with chips. Other than the ones other peoples car's make when they ram you :(

Well... i have mudspats at the front... hence i dont have chips after my front mudspats....no chips on the door, or the front section of the rear guard (where it starts to pop out i guess)

stone chips suck....we did a cruise last year and all these laser guys took off up a dirt road, the euroford guys all pulled up, said "**** that" and waited for the laser boys to come back down the track.......stone chips are inevitable, best way is to just avoid any loose surface roads...

Couple of new pics. Got next week off work so I'm finishing off my parcel shelf. After looking at its current state I wasnot happy with metal brackets on the bottom. So I took em off and decided to bend some plywood to match the curve. I think it will give it a better finish.
Heres what it looked like with the brackets. http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/parcel-shelf/DS2_0071.jpg Its current state bending the wet plywood into shape. http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/parcel-shelf/DS2_0073.jpg http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/parcel-shelf/DS2_0074.jpg |

What are you making the holes in the parcel shelf for? I thought you put the 6x9's in the stock speaker place.

At the moment I still only have stock stereo system. I wont be running any 6x9's but 6.5 coaxials in the rears, 6.5 splits in the front and sub in the boot. Yes a 6 speaker setup 2 in the rear stock pos and 2 in the parcel shelf.

Slowly getting there.
Just need to wait for the speakers to turn up then I can cut the holes, sand, paint and carpet it. http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/parcel-shelf/DS2_0075.jpg http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/parcel-shelf/DS2_0076.jpg Pic of the little helper that hangs around the shed when I'm there. http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/parcel-shelf/DS2_0077.jpg |

I finally managed to set a date with whiteline. Im going in on the 29th to get the car looked at, this does not mean anything yet as they can't promise what they can or can't do anything.

Sweet should be good if they can make some gear. Car handles great in stock form but as with anything there can always be improvments.

Ask timmeh. He took of the badges on his CL and had this problem, can't recall what he used but you can't see any marks.

GROOV3 all I did to remove the badges was poored hot water over them and slid an old credit card behind them and they come right off no worries. Then I just used abit of polish to clean up the area.
Little update on rear speakers. Picked them up yesterday. http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/stereo-inst/rear-speak.jpg Cut out the holes http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/stereo-...rcel-shelf.jpg http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/stereo-...cel-shelf1.jpg Counter sunk the bolts and test mounted them. You can see in the pics the part of the old shelf from my corolla that I pulled apart so I could used the nuts and bolts. Speakers are mounted underneath for a stealth install. The shelf I made for my old corolla ways the same and I never had any trouble with doing it this way. http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/stereo-...helf-speak.jpg http://www.gtir.ath.cx/zetec/stereo-...elf-speak1.jpg Getting paint tomorrow and already have the carpet so it should be finished tomorrow hopefully. Next stage is custom headunit dont want to say much but its going to be a mini-itx pc. Last edited by 0xyg3n; 26-03-2005 at 09:59 PM. |
