Im wanting to put a body kit on the Sprint ......
Now the purist in me says to keep with a Sprint one ......... The mad out there in me says get something a little more unique ......... Whats everyone think ........ and do you have any ideas for the out there type thing ........ I was contemplating a GT kit as I would love to have spotties on her but dont want to compromise the air intake by putting them upfront ...... Any ideas & any pics ????????? |

Personally, I think keep it sprint. Such a nice car, why butcher it.
Think of this: Would you take a genuine GT and put a sprint kit on it?

hmm yeah personaly I wouldnt touch it, the optional kit is nice so that would be the go IMO.
Then again I think the best bar is the moffat one, so if you HAD to then go that. Good luck!

I would go with the Sprint kit if it was my dilemma cos i think the sleeper look is what appeals to die hard sprint fans.
Adding all that GT plastic will just scream out "fast falcon" if it were genuine or "just another kitted taxi" to those who are uneducated If it were me id be creepin up to the lights all inconspicuous and then unleashin all those KW |

2 options
1) No kit 2) Sprint kit. As for spotties, get a roof rack and mount them there

Do whatever you want! Personally I'm all for making it different and unique because thats what sets your car apart from others! If you want a car to keep in original condition pick up a classic XB or something!

take the front bar off and put it away in the shed. get a moffat front bar and put spotties in it....
not only will this allow you to have the spotties it will also allow you to keep the front bar free of stone chips to refit at a later date if you ever decide to sell it....... if it were mine and i lived in the sticks i'd also get another bonnet and another XR grille for it .........to keep the originals pristine... |

Thats a good option Wayne ..........
It hasnt got a kit on it at the moment so thats what has got me thinking ....... Resale isnt an option ..... kids & OH recon I will be a 90yr old granny still driving my Sprint :P Will have to try find a piccy of a Moffat bar ........ did see a GTO one earlier & didnt mind that too much ......... but it is going on a sprint ..... Talk about being torn between 2 options :P |

actually wanye brings up a good point. ED XR front ends are just going to get more expensive as time goes on, ive sold two sets this year, one full in perfect nik for $800 and another one that was damaged for $400 odd.
Why a company hasn't started to make proper copies of e series XR fronts I dont know.

Seriously.. do what you want, what ever you want. I dont really understand threads like this. From what i gather you like sprints, so your probably better educated in answering what should go on your sprint more then these bludgers....
By the way, your not going to compromise the air intake by putting lights in the front, not unless your doing some serious track work or are packing an intercooler in behind there (unless they are massive bush pig spotties that should be on a 4x4 lol)

Personalize YOUR car, YOUR way. It is only a Falcon sedan with factory hot-bits, not a 1 off, million $ car.( in my opinion only) That's why my Sprint is going to have a Shaker fitted soon. Why own a car then park next to an identicle one?

Go for your life, and put what every kit you like on it Theres a mint black one (60,000km) still at my house at the moment, with moffat front bar, unknown skirts, APV rear bar, cosworth vents and a mini-GT wing, 17's, and it looks ace ;)

Here are some pics. The car hasnt been washed in about a month, poor thing! Needs to be lowered (however the kit would make driving it around on superlows hard) and in my opinion needs better rims :P
My apologies for the poor quality, it's the best i could get for now. Jared EDIT: car was done up by a bodykit company as a promo car back when it was brand new...
