Last night coming out of Hungry Jacks, my friends white AUIII was parked next to a white BA. After comparing the two for a few moment.. they're very simular is some ways.. and was thinking, how hard could it be to convert the front end of an AU into a BA?
Im guessing, you'll have to change the side panels, and have a high series bonnet ( as mine in a AUI ) BA Front bar, and BA lights? Are the AU high Series bonnets the same as the BA, or will it require a BA Bonnent, and will it fit the AU? How much is involved in doing the conversion?

I think buying a 2nd hand AU XR bar, and headlights is probly the easier thing to do.

Yeah good idea, why would you want to ruin your nice AU by turning it in a BA anyway. Go the XR bar and lights.

I agree with all the guys here, don't do all that and end up with a mongrel? The AU with the XR bar will add a lot to your car.

I'd be inclined to just buy a BA if that was the look I was after.

Two exceptions; the Dok put a BA front onto a wagon, and botch did the same to a ute. Both look really good! Wagon: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=33966 Ute: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=44346 Both these share the rear end of the AU, so changing them is no probs looks wise, a sedan however. Yuck! Wait for JC's bar I reckon! GK
