By the look of the Cobra airbox it "may" be a 4.6ltr mustang engine

yeh i think its the 4.6 cobra engine. Looks smaller.

Definately a 4.6 Cobra engine. All alloy. The Boss's little brother.

they look simular because the boss has exactly the same heads, but the boss has a long stroke, truck engine bottom end, where as the 4.6 bottom end is more square and free reving.

Looks very sweet. There is a place in Queensland building a boss powered AC cobra replica. Someone on this forum is having it built, can't remember who...

that is a boss... did a service on one today, looks the same as the xr8... same rocker covers and oil cap alternator location etc...
must have an aftermarket manifold on it though... looks really nice on there... |
