Was strolling through target today and saw the "new" version. Does anyone have one? I basically wanted to know if they move really well, and are they worth the $280?
As much as I want one, for $280 it would want to be pretty good. Just something to chase the cats with I guess. How freakin cool is it! And its pretty big, ~40-50cm's atleast.

was watching a show about the company that makes these. it was basically said that in a year or two, the technology that they will be putting in their robots will make the current ones look like a babies toy.
more realistic, more fluid movement, more things it can do. |

my mate has the original robosapien but it gets boring after 5 minutes.
i thought the add for the new version robosapien was pretty funny when it interacts with roboraptor "BACK, BACK!" "I've tamed him, he's safe to approach" LOL

I cant comment on how fun it is or anything, but i work at Kmart on the service desk and handle the returns. In all the time the robosapians have been out i have only ever had one come back because it was faulty. Mind you, it was obvious that particular toy had been bashed by crazed kids or thrown down the stairs at Q1 because it was scratched and dented and bits were almost snapped off. The person tried to tell me they just took it out the packet and it looked like that and now (5 months after the receipt date) it doesnt work.
So as for build quality etc, i would suggest that aspect is fairly good!
