Before anybody jumps to any conclusions, this is NOT a racist thread.
As it is generally accepted that the Italian community run most of the Pizza shops and the Greek community run most of the Fish and Chip shops, so it seems that the Sudanese community is running most of the shopping centre trolley collection services. It seems that way as lately most of the trolley collectors at local shopping centres seem to be of Sudanese background. Anybody else notice this recent trend? What concerns me is as follows:
- I would like to think that our government is offering immigrants more then just menial jobs - I would like to think that our government is importing talented people to fill the skills shortage they claim currently exists When I was growing up the local shopping centres were always good for teenagers seeking part time work. The guys would push trolleys and the girls would be check-out chicks (although nowdays many check-out chicks have Richards  ).If the immigrants are given these jobs then both they and our youth are being short changed. Im sure some of the Sudanese are not to happy pushing trolley's either.
