Question what did you do on your 21st?

hey guys, I am 21 today, just wondering what you did on the actual day itself (not the party 3 days later)

For me, I had to go to uni today : , but as of now myself and the fiance are going out to dinner and a movie, just the 2 of us. Not bad for a tuesday, the real fun will come on the thurdsay and friday :

What about you guys??

Happy birthday first of all!

My day sounded the same as yours, spend the day at uni. Except my day really sucked, from memory I had a lot of assignments due. In fact I was up until 2am on the day of my birthday finishing off my hydrometallurgy assignment!

Well, 36 yrs ago me and a mate went to Penrith Leagues Club to bring in my 21st.

We talked very left handed at the end and as far as I remember had a ball.

I was supposed to go to the olds place for a party...could'nt stand the thought of all the speeches and crap...I think they had a good time.

Cammoweal is halfway between Bowen and Katherine.
All the missus's family is in Katherine. You can have Tennant all to yourself! :

Fair enough Darren...it was a family thing.

But four beers, jeez louise.

If you'd gone to T.C., the Vic, you could have had the three 'Fs' and ten beers.lol

Just got back from the drive-in cinema at coburg, saw "kenny". That film was mad! Go see it if you have not already. There are some great scenes, i learnt that the new word for a plumber is a "glorified **** burgler". Absolute gold!

I'm not a party animal. On my 21st birthday (2004), I was playing Star Wars Galaxies. I don't like parties...people kissing my bottom because a remembrance of the day I was born.

No, keep to myself I do. Presents don't mean squat to me.

But I still got together with friends at a local pub/cafe for a small meal and a drink (or 5). But no formal party.

I also got together with family. That was a nice affair.

Mine was a few years ago and i think i had a good time
I went back to my home town Braidwood and got pretty sauced up at the royal. Then decided to crash a party about 20 mins out of town. The car ride to the party did me no favours and by the time we got there i couldnt stand and finally passed out. I woke up a few hours later in a dog cage on the back of a landcruiser on my way back to town. Thats about all i can remember of it :

me and 5 of my best mates got a hotel in the middle of sydney for a night, got on the beers at 10 am on the saturday and headed down there. ( from the central coast).
just went from pub to pub all day and night, having a few beers at every place and then just wandering around with no plans or ideas and stopping at every decent looking pub, no night club crap though. 3 of us ended up still drinking at the cross at 6 am the next morning, then we somehow got back to the hotel, slept for about 4 hours and got up and went to the pub over the road and had more cruisy beers that day to.

was an awesome day with plenty of booze, and great mates. much better than a big party do.
i was tired for about 2 days after though haha.

Oh dear.. my 21st.. well.. uhh, I went out to PJ Obriens in the city, then to the Marquee club, then back to werribee where we carried on drinking and watched TEAM AMERICA! Then I woke up on the couch with my clubbing gear on, with booze spilled all over me.

These days I cant stay up past about 2am. :togo:

Funny, because when I turned 21 I wasn't a big drinker (in the second year of my course -primary education).

But after third year, I now see the value in a drink or 5.

Almost finished 4th year now. Drinks ahoy!

I did nothing.

The age of 21 years old has no sigfnificance in our country. Yes - we all have huge parties... but it's not like its the age of consent, drinking age... .or anything interesting!

BTW - happy birthday.
