As in boring. Its not exciting, its not different, its not new. Other than that they are doing really well.
:nutsycuck

Look, I know they are selling alright (although what are the figures, no one seems to know), but seriously, one tires of lame attempts to freshen up a range.

I think you have some issues when your core market isn't that impressed with a new model.

Yeah its better than nothing, but the money, or lack of it, spent on doing the force series would have been better spent in getting some quality options for the exsiting range.

Try, just try and offer something HSV doesn't. Its only the blue noses that well be happy with the latest offerings.

You would think it would be less as the rear spoiler is alot smaller.

The Force is a range for people who want the go without the show. There is no point in being able to perform if every time you do you get rolled.......

I think it is a great idea and my next FPV will probably be one.

It amuses me that almost everyone who has derided the BF2 does not drive a FPV.
FPV are in the business of SELLING cars, and they seem quite good at that, not making adolecent mastabatory fantasies that are the subject of fanatical tribalistic worship by ignorant peasants. (that is HSVs job)

I wonder just how many former FPV owners have churned to another marque and of those who did how many actually went sideways to Holden or Chrysler rather than up to AMG, BMW M or whatever? Maybe they might come back.

I am also amused by the constant "orion" references. Orion will save us. Orion will be the messiah that will lead us on the path of righteousness.
The last MAJOR platform change was the end of the "E" series and we got the AU. I nearly deferred buying my EL Ghia because I was aware that the new model was coming out in a few months. When I saw the AU1 I was SO happy I did not wait.

I doubt that the same situation will be repeated but then again.......

Why has Ford felt the urge to start a whole new model?

Lets face facts, these cars are just GT's or F6's without the rear spoiler, have slightly different seats (that if based of the ghia ones are less supportive than the FPV ones) and have different badging; oh and they dont have stripes but I bet some owners will put them on anyway.

Why didn't they just make all of these options. If I am spending ~60-70k on my falcon then I should be able to choose between two different spoilers and what interior I want.

I would probably stop bagging them if the front end atleast (since thats the only new thing in the BF range that is distinguishable) was like the BF2 Ghia, and then just with a more aggressive bumper to match the FPV look.

Also you dont need to have owned an FPV to have an informed opinion about it. There are thousands of other ways to have "experienced" a FPV.

I own an EL Ghia, like yourself previously, and in the not to distant future I will own a FPV if they are still around, so its not like I am that far off the target market other than age. So to completely dismiss ones opinion based on previous ownership is not right.

You know what the best thing about this new car is for me,
another proffesional photoshoot to make the car look awsome, putting fresh pics along side the new commodore marketing pics, you can see now kinda why they had to do it, the car looks fresher, like its new but its not. if you get my drift.

they are hoping to stem the tide of people that rush out to buy high performace and luxaury holdens and I think from a marketing perspective it was a good idea to make this. And the BF is so good, they had nothing to inproove on in terms of look :P

Not bad, Pitty they didnt do anything than change the rims on the current models. Typhoon looks cheap with the uncoloured spotty surrounds. Hope fpv are saving money for a reason, because they need to be much better when they release the all new falcon next year!

How can someone justify paying another 7-8 thousand for a Force 6/8 on top of the base models GT and F6??

Anyone would think they would be cheaper not having a rear spoiler

Buy yourself a GT or Typhoon, remove the spoiler, get a few Force badges of e-bay and you got yourself a Force 6/8. _2:

What the hell is it with the Force's?

It's a GT without a massive bad-as spoiler, but a slim one instead. Looks so weird, they should of designed a new body kit to better integrate the sedate spoiler. LAZY!

It's like whacking a XR rear bumper onto a Ghia, wait, they've done that to.

Ford stop rummaging in the parts bin and give us something new.
