I've owned a grand total of two of these "types" of cars .. 1x XB GS Coupe (351, 4-spd) and 1x XC GXL (351, auto) .. so I'm not really an expert .. but here's my observations to get you started.
Coupe: Rusty .. yep. Rear qtrs in front, above and behind the rear wheel opening. Rust around the rear windows and the filler panel between the window and the boot. Rust around the taillight panel. Rust in the boot. They all have it, just to varying degrees. Rust in the bottom of the doors. Rust in the bottom of the front qtr panels. Other than that, they are tanks. Nice solid cars, nice to drive. Sedan: Like the coupes, rust in rear qtrs, doors, front qtrs. Mine also had rust under the vinyl roof. Also like the coupes, nice solid cars, nice to drive. Basically they are just like most OLD cars. They rust, just look long and hard for one with the LEAST amount of rust unless you want to pay for a lot of body work .. Good luck! BTW: Get a coupe .. SEXY!! |
