I know there has been a tilt try thread before, but what the hell.
I love looking at pics of cars on trailers and tilt trays. Just something bout seeing them not sittin on the ground... maybe has something to do with the fact they are usually strapped down and giving a much lower look then they usually run... I like it when you are heading to a car show or the drags, and you see something tough parked up on a trailer cruising along... You pull up beside it and can have a real good squiz at it. Maybe this is just something i'm experiencing while I send my camaro here and there on a tilt tray, with people gawking at it. Weird sensation. Call me strange, but it's a bit of a fetish seeing muscle cars on trailers and tilt trays for me. I like it even more when the car is a project, and looking really rough. Makes you wonder where she is heading and what her future holds. Here's a couple from my collection: Yes i am strange! P.S - I also have a thing for cars on hoists, car dolly's, and jackstands... but thats a whole other thread

Sorry Dial up Dudes..... As you can see, i'm not talking bout mum and dad commodores busted up on a tilt tray... You guys still think i'm weird? I have almost had a couple of accidents trying to catch up to cars on tilt trays to have a gander... trying to hold mobile phone and drive etc... Most of these shots are not my handywork... I promise to get some pics of my girl on her next journey next weekend.... And sorry for all the chev pics.... but there may be a bb ford in my garage soon for me to take pics of too. should i keep going?

If you promise to wash your hands first you can have a look at my MySpace site if you like, lol I always put some of the nicer cars in their, although I have kicked my self sometimes for forgetting to take pics of some cars.
Just click on the What We Offer in my sig and it should take you their, not quite the machinery you have already shown but some fine machinery all the same, check back from time to time as I'm always adding something. And I agree, you're nutter lol Cheers Stef

XRQTR - That your business? Pity you're not in N.QLD... you could drag my girl all da way to powercruise in 07. And i plan on challenging you on the no car too low motto.
Do i get a discount for 2 cars?

What's the challenge bud??
And by discount for 2 you mean you have 2 to tow at the same time?? Just a pity I'm not in Queensland, it's always great to hear from people that understand a good tow is more than just the cheapest price.

yeah, the challenge to get my cars on the truck without farking up the undercarriage.
yes, tow 2 cars for me to powercruise next year.... from townsville to brisbane... either 2 of mine, or 2 of mine and another car. It's not about the cheapest tow when you're carrying expensive cars... Happy to pay more for peice of mind. It's like trusting a mate with your girlfriend, you have to make sure they will not cross the line with your significant other, and take good care of her. I wanna buy a trailer, and put a towbar on the fairmont. Then i can tow my car round the place, and not run the risk of getting defected, bt still get the looks.

Ye unfortunately I'm based in Melbourne so it would be a little bit more expensive, but only just a LITTLE bit hehe.
I'm actually thinking about building a fully enclosed tilting trailer at the moment for some of the more delicate jobs, plus the bonus of having it enclosed means extra protection and piece of mind for both myself and the owners.

Sweet, you guys are towing me to powercruise!!!!!!
Stef, you probably sussing out all these trailers as i'm posting these pics, looking at their loading and strapping down methods etc. Some of these trailers look as high mileage as the cars they are carrying. Here's some more: aight, i'm bored with posting pics... but i have more.. will post later if anyone is interested. I'm only wasting time waiting for my ebay auction to end... mmmm, toys.

^^^^ That's one of the things I like about the cab chassis and the crumple zones in the tub, there would have been almost to no damage to the cab so easy and cheap fix compared to a full bodied ute.
And Rayman here is one I found this morning, if the flat deck loader gave me wood, man I almost lifted the desk when I layed eyes on this, thanks for the find Danny.

I think I've just caught the same bug you were talking about, Rayman. Some of those shots do look somewhat cooler than they would on the ground. |

Me and a mate on our way to last years Extreme Horsepower Show. 250km of neck snapping pedestrians. The old XR8 needs to be a bit better set up for towing!

hehe, that top pic of the XE reminds me of this bloke at the burnout comp a couple of years back....
loaded his car up on the trailer then proceded to do a burnout..........the car stepped sideways, hit the side wall of the trailer then lifted up and the wheel went over the other side of the siderail..........car was nice and stuck and everyone cracked up laughing... what a tool |
