Posted this on a few forums;

Cruising along West Swan Road up here in Middle Swan, WA at like 10:15PM and some crazy bellted my car with a metal rod...

The HWP was there in like 4 minutes, and they owned the guy when they found him. Apparently he had a bench warrant out for him so he was ********.

I need to go into Midland Cop Shop tommorow arvo to do my statement . He's lucky I was more concerned about my own safety... the ******** decided to chase me down the road. I should of turned around and mowed the ********* down...

I apologise for the excessive use of the f word...

u will have to replace the stars with the f word to see the pictures it seems

Nope, i swear to god it was completely random, I was just sitting on 80 with my ruise control, and he just jumps out into the middle of the road and swings.

Completely freaking insane...

*edit* just to add, this is all less than 5 minutes from home, on a completely dark rural road.... im still shaking a bit now...

Yeah I'm fully insured. I'm sure the story goes I pay full excess, then have to sue him through claims.

On the brighter side of things, might mean I can get the front bumper repaired too (he smacked that and split the lip above the right pod)

Hope they find a serious crime to charge him with, attempt at murder is a good start, could have ended alot worse.

If the police charge him then youre insurance usually covers it and chase him up for the money themselves, you wont have to pay excess.

Damn that's crazy allright. Sorry to hear that your cars been bashed. Shame the idiot didn't jump a bit further into the road so you could hit him.
Must be on drugs or something.
I hope you get all your money back from excess when you sue him.

Yeah, I don't know what state of mind he was in, but seeing he had a bench warrant I'd hazard a guess he had a history of violence

Ha, what a tosser. So you're saying that the car was actually moving at 80kph when he swung the rod ? That is just plain idiocy.

I would have turned around, ran over him, taken his wallet, if no money to fix the car call the cops and say he ran out infront of you with a pole and accidently ran him over. Who are they going to beleive.

Haha top suggestions guys :P

I just got back form the cop shop. Good blokes they are. They loved the VCT lol. Turns out the guy was having "issues". Insurance is going to charge me excess (only 350) and will refund me once they talk to the cops

I *also* found out they much prefer their XR6T D cars over their SV8 Commonwhore HWP's

Mate that is "****" as you put it lol

Im pretty sure he would have been in alot of trouble if he hit my ute. Im still very over protective even after a month. I yell at other cars that get too close on the road lol.

Rural...Dunno about that but its not suburbia. Hes lucky you werent going faster or it could have gotten pretty messy.

Sounds like its all getting sorted easily. Dont worry mate, shell be back better than new when shes all fixed.

Sorry to hear about your car. How stoned was the guy? We all have issues, but to go and smash up someone elses car is just wrong. Maybe you could have asked the cops if you could have inserted the same metal rod into this bloke. Make him look like a popsicle. That would be fair.

That's just crazy! People are getting more and more nuts! We recently had a 21 year old guy crossing an intersection (on foot) and some crazy walked up behind him and hit him in the back of the head with a brick! Killed him. Just random too. Crazy! :

Now we DO average at least one fatal shooting every night but those are usually drug dealers and gang related.

This guy just did it because he felt like it to a COMPLETE STRANGER!!

What a waste. I'm glad you're okay.

What a complete loon there is no excuse for that kind of stupidity, Hope the car gets sorted and your $350 is refunded. Maybe they should tie him to a car travelling at 80km/h while you run out and belt him with a metal rod, see how he likes it.

cheers
