I think you can put some foam around it so it doesn't knock
Also I've heard that if you get an edit you can change the RPM at which the ECU will cycle the cannister. |

Turn up the radio, cheapest way. I've got the tick. Heard on here before that it's the "Tickford tick".
Seriously though I got sick of my tick too but after a while I just got over it, there are much better things to spend money on anyhow.

If you would like to get rid of the noise all u have to do is cable tie a car wash sponge in between the canister & inner guard. Hope that helps.

I thought it was the purge valve for the fuel system? It also affects non-Tickford V8s (like mine) :(

i had the same annoying noise in my xr8, i went to the local carpet shop and got some scrap underlay and cable tied it around the little box inside the wheel arch and now you can't hear a thing. Was gonna replace it but was told a new one would start doing it any way.

I went to see my mechanic mate at ford and he said it was the purge solenoid and to wrap it up to quieten it down, common as he said. So make sure you wrap up the solenoid,s and the plastic lines as well because i just wrapped the cannister and it still made the noise. Maybe that was just with my car,Who knows?Reminds me of galloping horses, if only there were a few more horses under the bonnet
