Who's addicted to Minesweeper or has been addicted.
Post your best times. (If you've managed to get a time LOL) Me, 120sec in expert level. Absolute pain in the proverbial. |

I used to employ this savant that could do minesweeper expert in less than 20 seconds. He moved and clicked quicker than I could see. IQ of about 1 bazillion but personality of a watermelon.

I'm addicted to minesweeper. But only between the hours of 9pm and 6am. Best time is about 170sec for expert. Just cant click fast enough. And I know the cheat but couldn't be bothered to sit down and use it to get a 10 sec time.

Hello.
I discovered Minesweeper about a month ago. Best times: Beginner: 13 Seconds Intermediate: 78 Seconds Expert: 999 Seconds. Anonymous. Anonymous did a good job of finishing expert. I am yet to. I've also found Solitaire too pointless, so I also play Freecell. Freecell Total games played: 10459 Won: 6244 Lost: 4215 Won: 59.69978% = ~60% Streaks Wins: 16 Losses: 13 |

Heres the cheat for anyone curious:
(just click and drag over the hidden text below) Minimize or close all running applications. Launch Minesweeper, then type xyzzy. Next hold down either shift key for one second. Now when you move the mouse cursor over a Minesweeper square you will see a tiny white pixel in the top left corner of your desktop screen. This pixel will change to black when your mouse moves over a mine. You may need to change you desktop background to a solid color other then white or black to see the pixel. Secret - Stop Timer Instructions - Launch Minesweeper and start a game so the timer starts counting, then press the Windows Key + D to show the desktop. Now when you select minesweeper from the taskbar you can continue playing with the timer stopped.

Try this:
-Move your cursor to the Window with Minesweeper -Type in XYZZY then press SHIFT-ENTER then ENTER A little white dot will come up to the upper-left hand corner of the screen. Watch it. If you move your cursor over a mine, the dot will turn black. So now you you know where the mines are. If it is white, it is a safe square.

OMG - the amount of hours I have wasted on this game between 9:00 and 5:00!! - fully addicted.
beginner - 13 secs intermediate - 53 secs expert - 190. expert will usually come down to a guess at some stage or another. I've only ever got it out about a dozen times.

I remember (well sort of) way back in Computer Studies classes in high school my beginner time was 2 secs, intermediate was somewhere between 20 and 30 secs and expert was under 100 secs... 94 seems to ring a bell.
Needless to say, I do not work in the IT industry now but I do use computers for my work and think I do alright. I even use 3 fingers on each hand to type with!
