Default Yellow Stickerable?...You be the judge

G'day everyone check this out some picky cops thought i might be worth a yellow sticker.

these are the things they picked me up on!
blue headlights they said, which they are more green than blue lol
blown taillight
and a loose battery which he had to yank to say it was loose

i mean how funny does a yellow sticker look on this car its not natural

peoples opinions would be funny to hear so please feel free to say anything lol

I couldn't tell the colour of the lights as the pic was small (or maybe my eyes aren't great lol).

Not sure as don't really know what you mean by blue headlights but you say they are more green.
Is that a coloured bulb, painted within the light area or ??

I am not sure about blue on the front of the car, I know they frown upon red being at the front of a vehicle.

The blown tail light, well yeah.. looks like he got you on that one.

Battery being loose... Aren't all batteries supposed to have a clamp on them? If so, then he got you if you didn't have one.

They aren't major things (a warning maybe would have been better), so won't be a huge thing to fix up to get that yellow sticker off.

Good luck

Gets you for a blown taillight.... but ignores the tinted lenses... thats funny.

As for the battery, it should be clamped down, that was a fair call.

I think your thinking about brake lights.

As for standard tail lights I am pretty sure that the original lights on the vehicle that were designed to work still have to be operational.

Are you headlight lenses tinted.
I thought they were in the first pic, then saw the others and thought no. Then Casper mentioned it, so now am unsure.

Like I said though, I thought it really should have been a warning not a sticker.
Lesson learnt in your area. Make sure you car is perfect or don't take it off the driveway. LOL

What did the pull you over for. Was it a random stop or was it one of those blitz's where the yellow as many cars as they can as quickly as they can. In my experiance I have found the Rocco cops to be pretty good, but then again they tend to be drawn to a P plate like a moth to a flame.

They're all fair enough defects I wouldn't worry too much as they're all cheap & easy enough to clear. Defects for mods **** me off but ones for cars being broken don't.

Defects for defective items is fair enough - there should be more of it. The more well-maintained cars on our roads, the less accidents caused by poor maintenance.

Cops can yellow sticker you if your windscreen washer bottle is empty, doesn't take much you'd have to **** them off pretty well, wondering if you 'laughed' at them about the tail light?
Also no offence but when you said you're from rockingham i had a little chuckle to myself. A lot of hoons and jackarses up that way.

Hope you got that light fixed :nutsycuck

Did they check for oil leaks ... cos you acn get a yellow sticker for that (even oil seepage around gaskets) ... and did they check if you have water in your washer bottle as well .... cos I have seen people getting canaried for that as well.

Have never been bothered by the Police while in the ute ... even with all of my mods .... reason being is that I "try" not to attract attention to myself ... and I steer clear of the cruise spots.

here on the sunshine coast i see a lot of doof doof boys running around with blue or green parkers and the high visibility head lights (the ones that look blue). but different states have different laws. fair call on the clamp, and the brake light, if your car was factory fitted with 3 working brake lights, they need to be maintained and working at all times. my response usually to a taillight problem is "sorry officer, i didnt realise it was out, i'll go and get it sorted imediatly", honesty, agreement and compliance are the best ways to deal with mr plod, and more often then not, if your nice about it and dont **** him off, he will give you a warning and send you on your way.

I was of the understanding that if it is fitted to the car it must work. It dosnt matter if you have 5 brake lights, 5 brake lights must work, not 3 or 4 but 5.
I see a lot of cars with blue lights on the window washers on the bonnet and tinted tail lights which make it hard to see the brake lights during the day. So the safer the police make the roads the better.

yeh i agree with baboon although delibertly going slower than a cop could look very suss too, at the end of the day looking at most cars on the road their is something wrong with them, just have to try and keep our cars as legal as we can or 'neat'

I take off at the same pace every time. Not flat out, but not slow either. If that means I take off faster than a cop, so be it. If they pulled me over for that, I would suggest to them that they perhaps had better things to do.

As for the first post, coloured lights depends if you had them on. If not then he was trying really hard. Blown tailight is a given (they have to both be visible for cars obscured on your left and right, and high level brake light must be functional if fitted)

As for the battery, thats a huge one. Ever seen what happens when a battery comes loose while driving? ...

Dont know about your rules on the other side of the world but in NSW if you have a boot wing, with inbuilt brake lights, you have to have the rear window one disconnected!
