Well i've picked up a momo wheel for the AU, bought a set of torx bits to do the job and realised Ford had to be special and use a five sided pattern over the readily available six sided pattern.
Any ideas where to buy the five sided torx bits? Cheers Adrian.

A bunch of people on here have gotten them off ebay. You can buy a set of 11 I think it is for ~$50, which is what I did. Ford sell them individually for about $60 each.

Don't worry about the wheel puller just a gentle whack with a hammer or pull it off, just make sure you don't pull the wheel into your face, haha.

Well...i've spend another hour this morning trying to wriggle it off with no success. This shouldn't take four hours!!!!!!
Wheeties ain't gonna help.....i've got a dodgy back & my hands are kinda screwed, been like that since a little kid but i've always managed to get things done. But this time it's beyond me, my hands a heavily blistered now so can't do anymore. I'll have a word with my local mechanic and try and get him to have a go. : Cheers, Adrian.

Don't let the mechanic hit the shaft with a hammer though. the shock can go through and do damage. Brute force is whats required. Once the seal has been cracked it wont be a drama to get back off so if you want to meet up in Penrith give us a yell take 5 mins, I reckon it will come.

Done worry ... mine too takes to get off ... with a rubber mallet and a wheel puller ... and a lot of forceful wriggling. Took just over an hour to 2 it with 2 people.
Some vehicles are easier than others ... mine was right pain.

yeap mine was on ultra tight as well,,
first you have to power up..... :SaiyanSmi then you crank up the :dj: then you put both hands on the wheel and shake, pull, rock, jump around in one swift motion : : and it should come off after 20 minutes of effort just about when your thinking its never going to come off. |

Hmmmmm......well the biggest problem is that my hands can't handle 15-20 minutes of constant wriggling..........they don't even last 2 minutes.
I'll book it in next week.

Ok just an update....The wheel is on!!!!!
I never found the time to book it in somewhere to get it done. So today I had another go, fitted the wheel puller, gave the wheel a few taps with a hammer from the rear. Then 2-3 wriggles & off it came. The momo is so comfy and gives you something chunky to grab onto. If anyone has been thinking about getting one I say don't wait, there are still some left on ebay. Thanks for all your help. Cheers, Adrian.

Just goes to show how crap the standard wheel really is.
Well done on getting the new one on ... much better to drive with the Momo.
