Could be Orion... More convincing than the spy shots in the other thread anyway.

Kinda unusual. I realise its got lots of covering on the rear round the windows etc so we cant make it out. but the bumps on the bottom half of the doors. what are they?

The company number plate tags like on press test cars are a bit of a giveaway. I'd say the spoiler is a BF one. I'd say a good masking job really as the shape almost look BF, hides how much has changed. Top work and good shots SODA

Yep lots of camo around window frames, rear door, and lower sides (as well as covers front & back).
It's too hard to make anything out. |

It's definitely a Ford, check the rear spoiler and current XR-style exhaust tip.

Is it just me, or every time one of these spy shots come out (on any car, not just fords) the mags that they use on the cars are just dead sexy!

Check the XT aswell, its got current BF hubcaps, they are both definately Orions.
Not all that impressed with the fact they didnt flare the guards and widden its stance like the VE.

A lot of cleaver camo here, even the window frames have padding along the roof. The wheels arches have padding too, so you can't really tell how flared they will be. Rear access seems to be improved too.

Have a look at the rear shot and you can see the sway bar links hanging down, so they have kept the BA rear suspension. Thats not to say it hasn't been reworked

People people people... :
Just accept these photos for what they are, Orion spy shots. The car is covered in additional panels, car bras, different wheels, existing spoilers etc etc : Even though they are now road testing they are not going to give away too much at this early stage. Wait and see, and I promise that this will not be the "COMPLETED" Orion just yet.

ah guys, its a mule, that black stuff, the red foam stuff, fake pannels, the tiny blacked out wheels and generally unappealing manner of the presentation of the car are all intentional and meant to mislead the viewers of the car as to its actual final appearance. orion is 12 months away for us. They are not going to put 20 inch gt rims on the highway runabout when they can test the sportier suspension settings behind closed doors. great shots, but the best way to look at them is from teh other side of the room whilst squinting. |

I think these shots confirm the first shots of a white (?) camo'd car in the bush was an Orion as well, it had the squared off rear windows (thanks to chunky fake panels) the same as these cars do.

I think we all understand this, just some opinions which we can have! The silver one was referred to as the standard one in the pics so why would they put 20inch GT rims on a stock Falcon anyway????? I dont think we will see the true Falcon untill closer to the release anyway, just good some people got some pics. |

i was trying to make the point that the wheels on these cars will not be the same as the eventual production ones and that they could differ quite substantially in diameter and design, as could suspension settings and ride heights. this car is meant to put you off what it will look like, so being disappointed about its appearance in my opinion is a little too early on your behalf. however if it was just an observation, then i agree totally, this thing look 'teh hella lame' but thats the aim. |
