Default help with engine decision

ok well im wanting to put in a newer engine in me eb as mine atm is not the best, im wanting it to be jsut a mild streeter, anyways i was talkin to two mates that are machanics, and sayin im wantin to put a AU series two or three engine in they disagree, sayin its to much fukin around, and im better of gettin a el engine witch they said was better then ef, and will bolt straight in with out fukin around, what does every one else think i should do?

au engine into ea-ed = piece of **** so ur mechanic mates = know nothings
use an au block, ef/el head, au head gasket and a 977b with a t5 and youll be laughing

a AU motor ...yes and then MOD the Sump and 2 bolt holes from your gearbox dont match up.. that does not realy matter..

a EL motor is a direct fitment
