Your obviously not a very good geek because copying the code from a forum such as this WILL NOT work These pages are created dynamically by the php code engine (see up in the address bar, the addresses have .php, not .htm You need to write the underlying php to generate the html coyote mk11, there are plenty of VERY easy options out there, just let me know what it is you are after (teaching site or forum) |

a standard website as you know is normally in HTML form. i do believe that he did ask for a forum or a Website....and the easiest way to do a website apart from FRONT page....is to copy the source code....

Check out www.sourceforge.net.
Plenty of free (Open Source) stuff there and you should just be able to download some software for a forum for nothing.. Edit: A quick source at sourceforge for the word forum returns 914 matches. http://sourceforge.net/search/?type_...ft&words=forum

WebCT is similar to how a forum works with page created dynamically by a php code engine. Its a e-learning platform. Most universities have this or something similar to supply students with homework etc.

Yes, it will be possible to run on an intranet based server. this will need php and a mysql ssrver installed check out ATutor at http://opensourcecms.com/index.php?o...sk=view&id=373, this site lists multiple options, and they are all open source so they are free to use and modify for your own purposes (and do not constitute plagarism) If you need help installing and configuring php and mysql let me know. |
