Default FPV Drive day question

I have my FPV track day at Mallala in South Australia next Tuesday. To save some wear and tear on my normal street tyres I was thinking of putting my tyres which I used when I dragged the car at Heathcote ie Toyo Proxes RA1.

My question is should these go on the back or front.

I have attached a circuit map of the track…..travel in a clockwise direction.

Thanks

Brad

what condition are the Toyo's in?

I would actually think that given the circuit is in a clockwise direction the left hand side of your car is going to cop the most abuse, (unless you plan on drifting through corners!) so I would have them on the left hand side of the car.

tyres are brand new ( apart from 5 drag runs )

Toyos are only 18's where the standard tyres are 19's ....I think the rolling diameter is the same though.

cheers

Your tyres will be fine as long as you stick 50psi all round into your tyres.. The reason why people stuff there tyres in the first place when there on the track is because they don't put enough air in them in the first place, and they roll the shoulder of the tyre,,, thats bad....

Spot on there jabba. I have done one FPV drive day already with my old BA GT-P, will be doning another next year with the F6.

I had 45psi in all four tyres and still gave my shoulders a real hard time. Track was Oran Park and there was a real big lean on them coming onto the main straight.

I think if you where to put them on, the front will cope most of the treatment.

Particulary because you have the BOSS290, plenty of weight over those front wheels and she understeers alot.
