That is an awesome idea. Good on them for trying something at least..

I can see it working pretty well too. Get a few "hoons" off the streets.

I can see it now. One of the cops partners out the front of the track defecting cars as they leave after the drags...

They can already speed, get free Mc Donalds, and now they can get paid to burnouts! Its going to make more people want to be police rather than stop people doing burnouts.

Thats an awesome idea. I've lost count of how many people i know who want to race a cop down the strip. This scheme will also reduce the anti sentiment towards coppers among young drivers.

Does anyone remember the Police VK used for racing the lads who were carving up Carlton in the mid 80's? I think it was called "smokey" too.

Yeah its nothing new. The WA cops did this years ago and had one of the local speed shops hot up the engine etc. They probably still do this.

I think this is a great idea.

The tale can be that burnouts and all that is all cool...IF done in the right place.

Nice cars too.

yeah it's a step in the right direction, but wasn't half the point of the 'no burnouts' rule in relation to noise AND smoke pollution ?? How does taking it off the road make the smoke pollution side of it any better ;p

Either way that'd be a blast.

There is a driver training facility outside the window at my work. About once a month the Federal police turn up with a couple of white Commodores and a trailer load of tyres. They were having drag races in reverse the other day and doing a lot of 180s. Im surprised they didnt brake anything.

A couple of blokes at work used to go out to the drag the police events here but the problem is if you beat the cop car you get defected.

They have come up here to Mildura a few times, quite fun to watch them get a flogin...

That SS used to be the best of the bunch, but i was readin somewhere around here the other day and apparently the boys at FPV have upgraded the XR6T ute to DRIF6 spec now so should give the SS a hidin now...

My mate Harold "Screw loose" Scruby will be creaming his pants over this....it's outrageous! This can only send a message to the drivers of Victoria that it is OK to do burnouts.

Harold, please issue a press release and write a few annoying letters to put a stop to these people enjoyig themselves!!

That is a big discount, I think it varies. In Adelaide after 10 or 11 at night its free at Mc Donalds. Hungry Jacks, free all the time.
