Default Ford extended warranty

Has anyone extended their warranty? My BA XR8 is just about to come out of warranty and I read in the back of the service book that I may have an option to extend for another 3 years.

Does anyone know how much this costs and if it is worth it?

And are you restricted to the dealership that issues the extension?

Default

I have it on my T3 TS50. It cost me $1200 for another 3 years and 160000km.
You have to show scheduled servicing has been completed and jump thru a few hoops at times.
But I have had my radiator, clutch fork replaced, diff completely rebuilt and 1 koni shock replaced under the extended warrenty.
I have definitly got my moneys worth!!
