It's a pain in the **** not having timing boards! Who owns AIR? Having a drag strip without timing boards is ridiculous.

This is one of the reasons i didn't go back to calder yet, cos i could never see/hear the times the cars ran!

Hopefully more people will be going through from now on!

Guys, I was at calder today for the Hot Rod Rumble and can say the new timeboards are up and running! They are excellent... 2 seperate digital displays per lane (no more flashing betwwen ET and MPH *hooray*), can be viewed easily from anywhere and quick to update.

Only issue: there are no win lights at the moment. Hopefully that will be sorted quickly.

Compared to the busted globe crap they had in there before... its a huge thumbs up from me. Now if they could just fix the staging/return lanes....

I also went out to the Hot Rod Rumble on the weekend and just have to say that the new timing boards are fantastic. You can see them clearly when standing at the start line and anywhere in between. They flash the reaction time up until the cars when the finish line, then the ET and speed comes up. Very very good.

Your not wrong Greg that return road is useless l dont know how they have gotten away with that road for so long as it is just like driving down a dirt track.

l am sure with the $55 and $17 per head they are getting through the gates every Friday night they could afford to put the new timing boards and fixed both the staging and return roads a long time ago......hopefully they will fix them soon as they have gotten away with it for to long...

Cheers Chris
