just thought i'd make a thread for short concise GT4 tips to make the game less time consuming, IF that is what you want to make the game. (for me personally, having played all of the gt games them to death, doing endless laps of circuits in slow cars is kinda boring..)
i could rave on about what configs/parts i run my cars on(or even strategies), but you can work that out for yaselves.. ;) maybe if this gets big someone could compile these into one big read for the benefit of FFau members or something.. tip #1 : cars doing enduros will auto pit when fuel is low/tyres are red. ive entered a nissan R92CP into the nurburgring 24hr and mite just let it sit overnight.. shame is that it doesnt automatically go back to 3x speed but its better than watching it for 8 hours straight and hitting O every three laps. (i shudder to think how Bob-Spec feels doin 350kmh down the back straight on the noober ring on red rear tyres!!) tip #2 : get a prize list off the net if you dont want to spend money on a car you're only going to win anyway(one example is i bought an m3 only to win the GTR version)... a good one is on here : http://www.neoseeker.com/Games/Produ...smo4/faqs.html only had one discrepancy that ive noticed so far(albiet im only up to 31%) and it was so minor that i forgot what it was. tip #3: if you want quick easy money, do the second race in the special conditions hall(easy) and after two races with two laps each sell the toyota you win for 263k. you can enter any car, and you can keep going back and winning the car again. hope this helps anyone who doesnt have the time to spend an easter weekend playing solid GT4..... come people its your turn now. tell us the tricks you've found! jamie. tip 1: don't buy a mazda6...you win 4375983759 of them...I bought a regular one only to win the '91 concept, then won the MTX version followed by the race car :\

Only tip I can think of is this, don't be fooled into thinking that buying NOS for a close-to-stock car will help as much as doing something elese, such as upgrading the turbo or a NA tune.
The youngest one here had his heart set on buying the NOS, and then when he got it was dissapointed when it didn't make much difference - he was expecting the car to rocket off as soon as the NOS was activated, just like in 'The fast and the furious', LOL!

Never buy the AC cobra, I was trying to do the classic car race or whatever it is and it just didn't handle the only way I could get in front of the other AC cobra was on the straights. BTW what did people use for the classic car cup?

classic car cup meaning old beasts? buick special.. it canes.
oh and themaddestman, if you tune the nos for max power it does do a pretty good job... i was crackin up laughun when i was burnin around in my suzuki alto works 3cyl 4wd beast.. hit nos and she'd fly past the opposition.. also pull 130+ down the straight instead of 110.. hehe.. umm.. it was just under $1,300,000
the GT One race car and a few of the nissan race cars are available too, but they're like double the price. and i've already got some of those. my b-spec driver is still having issues with the straights and slamming the wall. i don't think i'm gunna be finishing this 24 race any time soon :/

there are 3 24 hour races :P
i've done 2 of em, but 1 proves to be a pain for my b-spec driver he is about 6 seconds quicker then them PER LAP. but on some laps, he'll be hammering doing the straight, and then decide he wants to try going through a fence and does that until he's doing about 30mph, then drives off normally again. i think the CPU is occasionally getting confused about the chicanes (or lack of on this version of the track)

hahah.
how it goes is: 1. buy car 2. spend $200,000 on it 3. use to win championship thats worth $50,000 4. be ****ed off. 5. return to stage 1.
