G'day all. Was told my EA2 Fairmont (4-spd) was probably running 3.08 diff gears, but I finally crawled under this afternoon (man that was a tight fit) and read the tag: 311. I'm assuming this means it's 3.11:1, and I guess this must be the gears for the optional LSD. Can anyone confirm this for me please? :

Is it CFI or MPFI?
If it is CFI it will be 3.08:1 If it is MPFI it will be 3.23:1 If it is Ghia i will be 3.23:1 LSD

Nah its written on the metal tag hanging off the filler bolt, you might have to wipe it and get a torch out to see clearly.

even if it's LSD? I thought the LSD's were different? Or maybe I'm just crazy... that's probably it.

having LSD would only change the centre. Im not convinced that if you optioned LSD on a car you automatcialy got the 3.23:1 ratio. My EA was CFI (before it coped 9million EL parts) and it had a 3.08:1 ratio in its bum.
