Well it’s a been a while since I last run the car apart from today at Heathcote, And once again Chris ( BPR ) and Craig ( ACE ) we’re there to support me as was I for them.
So far the car has run its best time so far since the rebuild. Car’s tune has not been leaned on as yet, as it’s still fairly new only 5000kms old. Ran the car first up from the HWY drive and ran a 12.49@ 112mph 1.93 60ft pretty happy with it so far it’s progressing very well. Car also ran some higher MPH like 114.85mph with a low 60 being the worst run of the day. So all in all happy with today’s run, thanks to Chris and Craig once again. Not bad for a car in full street trim total weight the way I ran the car was full tank and me in it 1933kg. Weight loss maybe on the cards…. Bring on next week. :evil3:

Rob,
congratulations on your time. It is impressive to see a full weight GT with a baby converter drive up to a rural track on a relatively warm spring day returning beautiful fuel economy and roll of a 12.49 @114. particulary with a 1.93 60ft. This is the toughest street NA Boss in Australia. Well done buddy. Chris PS, if you want to lean on it, you have my number.

Don’t tell me next time you all sneak of for a drive in the country with the boys, as it sounds like a good day was had by all. I’m ****ed I missed it. Lol.

Well done Rob exellent time for full weight and with that 60ft, bit of weight loss and better 60's could see some big improvements mate.

To date what has been done is that I’ve had it honed , with new rings , Valve’s , Bearings , Crow Cam’s, High spec race springs, Vernier Gears. 4.11 diff gears, Hi stall. I glad that Chris from Blue Power finally convinced me to install the 4.1 and the hi stall as these with all the other mods has turned my car from sometimes angry Beast to a beast of a car that’s always angry which suit’s me to a T. I’ve just clocked over 2,000Kms on the new engine, hasn’t been tuned yet Vernier’s haven’t even been touched yet all set to 0. The torque of the engine is just incredible as were not chasing KW I’m after Torque and lots of it. So once Chris gets back from holidays I’m hoping to get it tuned. Then I’ll post before and after’s. Now with all these mod’s this car should be one quick GT.

Looking forward to seeing the difference with the vernier gear settings Rob.
I heard that they dont make as big improvement to the 290's as they do on the 260's. Thats why i havent had any fitted to mine as yet, you can be the guinea pig. lol
