Hey guys,
I took out the stock motor in my EA to fit a BA motor. Im unsure of how to store it so it stays in good condition. What should I do? I want to keep it as the numbers match, ill probably have a go at rebuilding it later on as well so I want to keep it good. Thanks! Dan

Pull the plugs and fill the bores with oil (drain this before you go to start it next!), make sure the manifolds are well sealed, wrap the whole thing in packing plastic (like reconditioners do for new engines they ship) and store it on a pallet off the ground...

Thanks mate, should I leave oil in the sump as well?
I drained it before I removed it from the car.

no need to leave the oil in the sump, would have to be drained anyway, make sure you wrap it really well, wasps love blocks for homes, might pay to surface bug spary it once all wrapped up every few months.

I would leave oil in the sump, even overfill it - best to keep the crank and bearings from going rusty...
