VZ SS 6lt. Pretty old but here is a couple of better pic's.
It was brand new when it went out this accident was on the Hume many months ago. Very lucky. Here is a happy cop because he isn't paying the bill.

Thats the worse thing on the hume long driving how lucky he was noone was killed.

that's when i like them new speed signs that can be adjusted, Maybe some warning lights flashing for trouble ahead would also be a good idea.

hazy memory if the incedent...
they had the cop car with its lights on, reflective witches hats etc etc at the scene...
if he didnt see that, doubt he'd see a LED speed sign.....

Bulls*it. There is no hill at this Benalla exit. There is a slight left hand sweeper.

True, many other trucks had passed the scene. Whether the driver was asleep is yet to be proved.
[QUOTE=rushing on acid]werent those coppers attending the accident of a truck that went off the bridge?[/QUOTE
These cops were diverting traffic through Benalla. The truck that ran off the bridge was at the Broken River, quite a few kilometres down the road.

Apparently he did see the cop car, however, it was too late. The understanding that I have is that there were two other trucks travelling in the left lane when this vehicle was travelling in the right lane. The driver may have had his UHF radio turned down or off and was unaware of the situation in front of him. Because the other vehicles were exiting the highway, this driver would have had no reason the suspect anything wrong ahead and because the road curves to the left, wouldn’t have seen the parked police vehicle in the right running lane until it was too late.
