Default Weather

Anyone else getting strange weather tonight? Werribee is getting pounded, there are emergency services out in force, downed powerlines, intersections blacked out, boomgates not functioning : , trees uprooted....

Crazy weather.

it hit 39 degrees in thomastown (melb northern suburbs), this is the fourth day in a row over 30 degs. Ironically 5 days ago it snowed and was 5 degrees!! This weather is SCREWED.

And yes we're getting torrential wind and squarls here too.. i'm waiting for the tree outside our house to snap in half. I've heard a few sirens going off.. It's still 29 degrees here now.. 11:20pm.

I was building in Geelong today and we were getting ash and smoke from the fires north of ballarat and horsham. Wild winds.

Had a mate go into his work before to check on some stuff. Was driving through the site and some left over cool room wall panels got picked up and thrown through the air, straight into the side of his wifes car he was driving, tearing into the rear passenger door right next to his 3 month old baby. Scary!

Been watching the DSE reports and so far over 10,000Ha have been burnt outside horshaml. Big fire!

CFA have been pretty busy too.

Oh man was it hot here in Canberra yesterday. My Outside Temp display read 37 so I guess it would of been closer to 35.

The turbo hated it! The bloody car drives that bad with the A/C on, that I rarely use it.

We've been from hot to cold to hot. Only last week or the week before we were freezing our butts off now they are on fire!

Hope I don't have to experience NY day again. It was 48 last year.

Was high 30's yesterday and supposed to hit 38 today in Sydney city (already low 30's at 7.30am!). We also have some huge bushfire that will threaten homes in the mountains if it jumps Bells Line of Rd.

I hear ya. I moved the AU away from the gates from fear of them falling on it. Wanna see scary - come watch my gates swaying in the wind. My letterbox didn't make it. Need a new one now. Stupid wind :

Was wild and wooly on the wharf last night too. High wind warnings and delays. I notice 3 wind direction shifts last night, and the smoke from a bushfire was choking at 02:30.. Anyone know where the fire was?

The smoke was ordinary to say the least. I already had a throat full of paint from spraying bits of the car all day.. then had that rotten scratchy taste of smoke for the whole night :

I think i have seen worse winds, I think it was earlier this year or last?.
The winds were so strong the tiles on the roof were coming off, And i'm trying too tie the gates closed cause they might blow open and smash the lights on the car and the roof is flying bits off, My mum was screaming at me get the **** in now!... No no they might hit the car:P Grabbed the car covers dints aren't as bad as chips.
