Hmm dont know about that 1998 one...LOL..although that was a while ago now.

Its going to be interesting, Porsche will have a four door, so will Aston, and Im pretty sure audi have something coming too. Hmm power for the family man!

I'd have the Aston Rapide.

I've seen other spy shots of the Porky 4 Door and in theory, a 4Dr V8TT sounds great, but from what i've seen and read its gonna be a hatch type set up and looks ugly as. Think the front of the Cayenne but 10 times uglier.

That Rapide on the other hand.... MMmmmm

Panamera will be a great car. Like every other Porsche.

I see they're denying the Carrera GT's V10 engine rumour, and not doing a good job of it. If the Cayenne V8 fits in it, the CGT's V10 will too.

I find that this 'traditional' Porsche shape is boring, and I think they are way over due to grow some balls and do something new. Imagine if Falcon kept the BA shape for the rest of your life?

It does nothing for me.

See, Porsche has haid immense success with their traditional shape. Why fix what isn't broken?

Its obvious by their success (world's most profitable car manufacturer, world's fourth largest car manufacutrer - as the owner of the Volkswagen Auto Group) that your point of view is not shared by the majority.

I do agree with yugostar, but not quite to the same extent.

IMO Porsche has the opportunity with this car to move away from their traditional style, perhaps they are to scared, or perhaps it makes business sense to share as much as possible as people seem to buy it anyway.

The 911 on the other hand is a work of art, and if it stays the same for another 50 odd years I wont be complaining.

just to add, maybe the porsche designers are lazy- by not altering the styling- are maybe they are ahead of thier time. take a look at every major manufactorer in the world- they're all rehashing old 'retro' designs to sell new cars. think mustang, camaro, challenger, gt-40, beetle. so maybe porsche have just been working on this whole 'retro' theme the whole time? _2:

besides if it wears a porsche badge, someone will buy it.

What happened to the cars they didn't keep their usual style with? Anyone remember them?

They were great cars, but they're worth stuff all now, some were total flops etc. Like the Porsche 968. In its time, the 968 Clubsport was considered the best front engine rear drive sports coupe in the world. Yet if you ask most people, they won't know what a 968 is!

I'm all for sticking to tradition - especially if the tradition is a good one.

Ah they mightn't be worth more than 911's, but a 914, 944, or 928 certainly can hold there value depending on the exact model. Even then since when is resale a valid point to how good a car is? T3?
