Default My first Bar post

I learn't something new last night....

Did you know you can put baking paper on your barbyque when cooking marinated chicken, steak etc. Works a treat and you dont burn the marinade and nothing sticks. The steaks still cook like normal too!

Best bit is there is stuff all mess to clean up, which means you can get more driving time in haha..

I'm impressed, try it out next barby :

Actually sounds good, I love a good bit of marinated lamb but if the BBQ is too hot it'll all just burn off.

Im not quite convinced about sticking paper on a hot BBQ though!

I found that if i left my bbq uncleaned all types of crap would congregate around the scraps, so i tend to avoid mice making their way into my bbq by simply cleaning it when finished and then reoiling with a spray of conola and a wipe with some paper towel.
All ready for next time then.

Ooooo that could of been bad hehe

I read it as baking soda and was thinking of trying it. Re-read and saw paper. Glad i re-read that one.

Makes sence to me, i hate putting all the time into marinating and it just cooks out..

You just heat it up fully before cooking to burn away all the germs. But yes clean it as it heats up before you use it.

Here I was thinking it was a fluffy thread..my first...

But this is some great info, I told the GF that there will be no marinade on the BBQ as the above reasons, its a bugger to clean and then once its clean you can still taste it on other foods.

Definately give this a go next time :sm_headba
